Loxley the "57 LP" #LOX068

Les Pauls have always been my obsession, the shape, the curves, the feel, the sound! I've made quite a number over the years, but i only make one or two every few years now. I focus on getting the important things right, and use the highest quality timbers and woods to make this happen.

The Goldtop i made with 1957 in mind, the ever changing years at Gibson where things seemed to move at a real rate of knots.  The transitional period before the first bursts of '58, but the use of the newly designed hunbuckers and ABR1 bridge system.  Gold was still the colour of choice, but under the paint there were often really pretty flamed tops hidden away.

My take on the '57 combines wonderful timbers and hardware into a very aesthetically pleasing guitar that sounds and feels really special.

Loxley the "Orion 25" " #LOX066

Taking inspiration from the Cygnus, the guitar has similar lines and curves, with comfortable chamfered edges highlighting the highly figured top.  Named after the Orion constellation,  the shape follows the layout of the stars, and the 3 main stars in the belt are inlaid at the 12th fret andthe back of the neck.

The design is thoughtful and ergonomic, feel and playability are key. A redesigned neck heel, glued dovetail joint, simplified control lay out and a Schaller 3D bridge keep the guitar in tune.  This makes for a comfortable and highly enjoyable playing experience.
